I say it quite often in our travel discussions, but in case you didn’t know, Thailand is my favorite. I had a few reservations this time around because there have been some changes in government powers since my last visit to Phuket, and I have heard there are safety issues within Thailand. I on the other hand did not feel them while there, remembered why I love it so, and am determined to go again soon.
Everything that I have stated before still rings true. The weather is beautiful, the water is warm, clear, and a stunning shade of green, the food is my favorite, and the people are the best.
Here are the latest activities while there.
We stayed at this VRBO, and the Villa was Amazing!!!!!!! Best I have ever stayed at. The Villa was immaculately clean, the beach was quiet and felt secluded, but had some high end resorts close enough to dine in their restaurants. We loved being on Natai Beach which is definitely more of a private area of Phuket and offered quite a non-touristy feel. There was a local restaurant next door that fed my family of 6 for $12USD. The villa included a full time housekeeper who did our dishes, cut us fruit, and cleaned the villa each day. The management company offered a service to purchase groceries, so, for a minimal cost, I had preordered groceries and they were in the Villa waiting for us upon arrival. It was by far the best vacation as a family I have ever experienced. Not only did I get to be with my kids, but all the chores were done and I got to relax too. Oh Thailand, and WWBeach house, how I love you so!
Things to do…
Our tour was arranged by the Management company for our VRBO. They had amazing service, and arranged all our activities for us while in Phuket.
Ate at the Sri Panwa Baba Beach Club
Just a short walk down the beach from the Villa you can find food at this beautiful resort.
Ate at Aleenta
Situated on Natai Beach, also where the villa is, we ate here several times. The food was excellent and it was fun to sit on the couches and enjoy the sunsets each evening. They offered pizza and chocolate cake which my kids begged for each day. Besides the Thai food from the kitchen next door, Aleenta was by far their favorite food.
Beach Time. We really spent most of our time in Thailand in the pool of our Villa, or on the Beach. Remember to read my article on the World Wide Flag Safety System. There were red flags up most of the time we were in Phuket which was a bummer, but I am glad I knew what those warning flags meant. Better safe than sorry, and having a pool made staying out of the deep ocean defiantly not so bad!
I love being in Thailand. It truly is a destination worth the travel time, and a place I could stay for months. I hope if you go, you share your experiences. We would love to hear them.
